This Cognac Connector Necklace by Dorka S. combines warm cognac Nappa leather with gold-plated hardware to explore the visual language of authenticity. Inspired by connectors used on premium leather products, the central form becomes symbolic within I’M GENUINE, representing both the scars collected through experience and the connections those experiences create between people. The 5mm leather cord gives the 16-inch necklace a substantial tactile presence while the gold detail provides a polished counterpoint. Earthy, sculptural and quietly conceptual, it sits somewhere between jewellery and design object, expressing Dora Kovacs’ ability to find emotional meaning in materials and functional details others might overlook.
