About the Brand
Dorka S. Jewelry stands for timeless everyday jewelry that carries stories and memories across generations. Designer Dora Kovacs was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, and travelled across the world before moving to New York. Her aim has been to create timeless pieces for women that not only decorate, but also capture the heart while emphasizing strength, independence and personality.
Surrounded early by her father's experience designing buildings as an architect, Dora developed an unconditional love for drawing and painting. She studied art history and painting in Budapest and, after a decade in advertising, found her way back to design and creation. Moving to New York, her love for architecture became a daily source of inspiration.
Dora considers her pieces timeless yet modern, with clean lines and sculptural silhouettes. Her style combines contemporary experimentation with natural and occasionally quirky elements and shapes. Inspiration often comes directly from her own life: the Doors collection reflects her travels, her homeland and the city she now calls home, while the Weight of Love collection is inspired by her children and celebrates motherhood.
