This Pisces Pendant by Carina Hardy turns the sign’s familiar pair of fish into a lively study of duality and movement. Two koi curve in opposite directions across the pendant, one rendered in sterling silver and the other in recycled 18K yellow gold, embodying the tension between reality and imagination often associated with Pisces. The golden fish’s textured tail extends beyond the circular field, adding a sense of escape and fluidity to the composition. Sculptural rather than illustrative, the piece celebrates intuition, creativity and emotional complexity through material contrast. On the reverse, the Pisces constellation appears in dotted Braille-like form, giving the necklace an equally thoughtful hidden side.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
