This Pearl Solo Ring by Carina Hardy gives one pearl the feeling of being housed rather than conventionally set. Organic layers of metal rise around the pearl, creating a small protective landscape that echoes the way precious forms are held and grown in nature. The deliberately irregular surface contrasts with the quiet perfection of the pearl, emphasising individuality over symmetry. Its proportions are restrained, but the sculptural approach prevents the design from feeling like a conventional delicate pearl ring. Handcrafted in Bali and available in gold vermeil or recycled silver, it is an understated study in containment, texture and singular beauty.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
