This Pearl Dome Ring by Carina Hardy turns concealment and revelation into the central gesture of the design. A slim band expands into an organic dome whose surface appears to rupture at the crest, exposing a single pink pearl sheltered within. The pearl is not simply mounted above the metal; it feels discovered inside it, creating a more intimate relationship between gemstone and structure. The contrast between smooth nacre and irregular sculptural metal gives the ring its quiet drama. Designed and handcrafted in Bali with responsibly sourced pearl, it feels simultaneously protective, sensual and elemental.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
