This Leo Pendant by Carina Hardy captures the sign’s power through a single golden paw rather than a conventional full lion. Sculpted in recycled 18K yellow gold, the paw rises from the circular sterling silver background and grips its edge, extending slightly beyond the boundary as if the animal were entering the wearer’s space. The gesture balances strength with care, reflecting Leo’s associations with leadership, courage, generosity and fierce protection of loved ones. On the reverse, the constellation appears as tactile dots linked by etched lines, transforming the celestial map into another layer of the object. Bold yet affectionate, the pendant presents confidence as something rooted in heart as much as authority.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
