This Gemini Pendant by Carina Hardy interprets duality through two sculpted hands reaching toward one another. One emerges from its sterling silver sleeve with an 18K gold accent, creating a moment of almost-touch that evokes communication, curiosity and the tension between opposite yet connected forces. The imagery suits Gemini’s association with exchange, adaptability and the desire to bridge different ideas, but the human gesture also makes the piece feel universal. Dimensional details extend beyond the circular background, giving the pendant the sense of a miniature relief. On the reverse, Gemini’s constellation appears in a dotted Braille-like pattern, adding a second, more abstract language of connection.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
