These 18K Lilypad Large Studs by Carina Hardy give the humble floating leaf a substantial, sculptural presence at the ear. Each recycled 18K yellow-gold stud is modelled with intimate organic texture, its irregular surface circling a responsibly sourced diamond that sits like a point of light within the botanical form. At 1cm, the scale is generous enough for the detailing to register clearly without extending into a drop or hoop. The contrast between textured metal and concentrated brilliance keeps the design tactile rather than decorative. Limited to a series of 50, they work best worn alone, allowing the lilypad’s carved character and central diamond to command attention.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
