These 18K Crouching Venus by Carina Hardy transform a smooth water droplet into a miniature piece of figurative sculpture. Viewed from the front, each earring appears softly organic and almost abstract; from the side, a Crouching Venus is revealed inside a cantilevered cavity, turning perspective into part of the experience. The Hellenistic figure is shown in the intimate pose traditionally associated with being surprised while bathing, adding narrative to an otherwise fluid form. Crafted in recycled 18K yellow gold, the limited-edition pair rewards close looking and feels less like conventional jewellery than a private sculpture worn beside the face.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
