These Drops Extra Long Post Earrings by Carina Hardy build dramatic length from a vertical sequence of sculptural silver droplets punctuated by one latticed gold form. Recycled 18K yellow gold contrasts with rhodium-plated sterling silver, creating a deliberate break in colour and texture along the 7.5cm drop. Despite their voluminous appearance, the earrings are ultralight and counterbalanced: a minimal front stud anchors the ear while the main composition hangs from behind. The drop can also be paired with other studs, giving the design a transformable quality. Limited to a series of 100, they combine movement, modularity and sculptural scale without sacrificing comfort.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
