This Drops Extra Large Flex Collar by Carina Hardy creates an immediate awareness of the body through scale, temperature and stillness. Substantial rhodium-plated silver droplets form an open collar, ending in two latticed recycled 18K gold drops that rest deliberately along the collarbones. Unlike pieces designed to sway freely, these forms remain close and stable against the skin, emphasizing the physical sensation of wearing them. The contrast between cool silver and warm gold gives the necklace balance without symmetry, while its reversible orientation allows the open side to be worn forward or behind. Bold yet elemental, it is sculpture designed not merely around the body but in conversation with it.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
