This Sleeping Venus' Cuff by Carina Hardy encircles the wrist with six reclining female figures, each hand-carved in a slightly different pose. The repetition gives the cuff a rhythmic quality, but close inspection reveals the individuality of every body and gesture. That tension between continuity and variation is central to the piece, allowing it to feel sculptural rather than mechanically patterned. Offered in either 22K gold vermeil or recycled sterling silver, the bracelet changes character significantly with its finish, from warm and luminous to cooler and more graphic. Designed and handcrafted in Bali, it embodies Carina Hardy’s interest in the human form as an intimate object of beauty.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
