These LP Studs Large by Carina Hardy give a single lilypad enough scale to become a small sculptural landscape at the ear. Each 1cm stud is hand-carved in detailed relief, with irregular contours and intimate surface texture replacing the smooth symmetry of a conventional round earring. The substantial size allows the leaf’s natural structure to remain visible from a distance while still rewarding closer inspection. Offered in 22K gold vermeil or recycled sterling silver, the design can feel richly luminous or cooler and more elemental. Handcrafted in Bali, the pair works best worn alone, allowing the lilypad’s tactile form to become the entire visual statement.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
