This LP Oroboro Ring by Carina Hardy captures the ancient ouroboros in an intimate, tactile loop. A serpent bends back upon itself and bites its own tail, turning the entire ring into a symbol of infinity, renewal and cyclical time. Hand-carved scales alternate with smoother passages along the body, ensuring the surface remains visibly touched by the making process rather than mechanically perfect. The motif feels ancient, yet Hardy’s simplified sculptural treatment gives it a contemporary clarity. Designed and handcrafted in Bali, it can be chosen in warm gold vermeil or recycled silver, each finish giving the serpent a distinctly different mood.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
