These Crouching Venus by Carina Hardy transform an organic water droplet into a hidden figurative sculpture. From the front, each earring appears smooth, rounded and almost abstract; seen from the side, a Crouching Venus from the Hellenistic Period is revealed inside a cantilevered cavity. The shift in perspective makes discovery part of the design, while the bathing pose introduces an intimate art-historical narrative without overwhelming the object’s fluid form. Offered in 22K gold vermeil or recycled sterling silver, the earrings bring the same sculptural idea into two different finishes. Handcrafted in Bali, they reward movement, curiosity and close observation rather than immediate display.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
