This Chasm Signet by Carina Hardy treats fracture as something to reveal rather than conceal. A solid recycled-silver signet is split by a jagged fault line that runs across the face and down both sides, where brown and black diamonds are embedded directly into the opening. The dark stones intensify the impression of geological pressure, as though the ring has cracked to expose a precious seam beneath its surface. The contrast between strong signet architecture and deliberate damage gives the piece unusual tension. Limited to one hundred examples, it is handcrafted in Bali with responsibly sourced diamonds precisely set in Bangkok.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
