This Chasm Link 6mm Necklace 20'' by Carina Hardy magnifies the Chasm collection’s geological language into a substantial statement chain. Wide sterling silver links sit flush against the skin, their surfaces scarred and weathered as though shaped by pressure over time. Brown and black diamonds appear inside precisely cut ruptures, creating flashes of preciousness within deliberately rugged forms. The necklace draws its power from this opposition: solid yet fractured, precious yet raw, engineered yet seemingly elemental. A concealed push-lock clasp maintains the continuity of the heavy link structure, allowing texture and weight to dominate. It is an uncompromising piece that treats imperfection as evidence of history, endurance and transformation.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
