This Chasm Link 3mm Necklace 22'' by Carina Hardy rejects polished perfection in favor of surfaces marked by pressure, time and rupture. Narrow cylindrical sterling silver links are intentionally weathered, each carrying scars and geological textures that make the chain feel excavated rather than manufactured. In selected links, brown and black diamonds are embedded deep within chasms, their brilliance appearing from cracks rather than sitting conventionally above the surface. That contrast gives the necklace an elemental, almost tectonic quality. The engineered push-lock clasp disappears seamlessly into the construction, preserving the uninterrupted rhythm of the chain. It is jewelry that treats fracture not as damage, but as a place where value can emerge.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
