These Braid Embrace by Carina Hardy bring the intimacy of a close-fitting huggie to a form inspired by woven hair. Recycled 925 sterling silver is shaped into an elegant braid that tapers gradually toward its end, creating a sense of movement even within the compact silhouette. The plaited surface gives the metal a softer, more human texture than a conventional polished hoop, while the snug fit makes the pair easy to mix with other earrings. Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
