These Braid Double Wrap Hoop by Carina Hardy translate the visual softness of woven hair into recycled 925 sterling silver. A sculptural braid coils one and a half times around the hoop, tapering as it moves so the form feels supple and continuous rather than mechanically repeated. The discreet hinge keeps the construction familiar and easy to wear, while the dimensional plait gives the metal a tactile, almost lifelike quality. Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
