This Braid Dome Ring by Carina Hardy gives the braided motif greater volume and architectural presence. Recycled sterling silver strands appear to gather and rise toward an elegant domed crest, creating a ring whose substance is immediately visible but softened by the familiar woven structure. The gradual expansion makes the piece feel organic rather than rigid, and its bolder proportions make it especially effective on an index or middle finger. Although inspired by a classic braid, the translation into metal turns it into something almost structural. Produced in a limited series of one hundred, each ring is designed and handcrafted in Bali.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
