This 18K Three Mountain Ring by Carina Hardy transforms Bali’s landscape into a three-part ring that can continually change configuration. Separate recycled-gold bands represent Agung, Abang and Batur, aligning into one ridgeline when stacked together or multiplying into a wider mountain range when fanned apart. Diamonds provide hidden markers and help realign the forms, with some stones concealed between the bands until the outer rings are reversed. Textured and polished surfaces further shift the composition between raw terrain and refinement. Made as a unique edition of one, the piece is both portrait of place and interactive sculpture.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
Unique edition of 1. Three recycled 18k gold bands with responsibly sourced diamonds. Outer bands each hold three diamonds; centre band holds six. Designed and handcrafted in Bali; stones set in Bangkok. Approx. 2.2 x 0.5 x 0.2cm.
