This 18K Shaker Necklace by Carina Hardy brings six sculpted lily pads together in a composition designed to move with the wearer. Rendered in recycled 18K yellow gold, three of the pads hold radiant diamonds at their centers, creating intermittent points of light as the necklace shifts across the collarbone. Fine Rolo links allow each botanical form to dance independently, making motion essential to the piece rather than incidental. The motif’s veining recalls both plant structures and the human body, reinforcing Hardy’s fascination with interconnectedness. Limited to 30 necklaces, the design feels playful, precious and highly tactile while retaining the intimacy of something made by hand.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
