This 18K Sand Dune Band Ring by Carina Hardy translates the slow movement of wind across sand into a continuous gold line. A soft ridge runs along the recycled 18k band and shifts sideways as it travels, giving the ring an asymmetry that changes with every viewing angle. Highly polished surfaces on either side catch light differently, making the central crest appear to move even when the ring is still. There are no gemstones to interrupt the gesture; the entire design depends on shape, reflection and touch. Made as a unique edition of one, it is a particularly pure expression of Hardy’s sculptural approach to natural rhythm.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
