This 18K Riverbed Band Ring by Carina Hardy captures movement through a form that refuses to settle into a perfect circle. The recycled-gold band follows a continuous undulating path reminiscent of a riverbed gradually shaped by repetition, erosion and time. Even when removed from the finger it resists lying completely flat, reinforcing the impression of perpetual motion. A highly polished surface keeps the irregular silhouette visually clean, while a slight rim gives the flowing line gentle containment. Made as a unique edition of one, the ring feels less designed around symmetry than around rhythm, making its apparent simplicity deceptively sophisticated.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
