This 18K Pavé Open Ring by Carina Hardy uses negative space to frame a powerful matriarch rather than simply decorate the finger. The recycled-gold band separates at the top, with both sides reaching toward one another while pavé brown diamonds and yellow sapphires create a warm field around the figure of Adele. She represents the self-possession that develops through experience, lending the piece a mature, unapologetic confidence. The open construction keeps the composition lighter than its rich surface might suggest and makes it comfortable across different fingers. Limited to fifty examples, the ring is handcrafted in Bali and stone-set in Bangkok.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
