This 18K Pavé Locket by Carina Hardy combines the intimacy of a traditional locket with the drama of figurative sculpture. A femme fatale rises from a glittering surface of brown diamonds and yellow sapphires, while textured gold leaf beneath the pavé gives the piece additional depth and irregularity. The locket opens to hold a treasured image or small object, creating a private interior beneath an already richly symbolic exterior. Crafted in recycled 18K yellow gold and suspended from a twisted chain, it feels both archaeological and opulent. Limited to twenty examples, the piece transforms memory keeping into something tactile, sensual and unapologetically artistic.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
