This 18K Pavé Dome Ring by Carina Hardy combines maternal symbolism with an almost antique richness of surface. A sculptural dome evokes the rounded form of a pregnant belly, emerging from recycled yellow gold and surrounded by pavé brown diamonds, yellow sapphires and touches of gold leaf. The warm, subdued gemstones create a patinated glow rather than icy brilliance, reinforcing the sense that the ring could belong to another era. Organic symmetry keeps the figurative idea suggestive rather than literal. Limited to thirty pieces and handcrafted in Bali, it is a highly personal interpretation of motherhood expressed through volume, texture and precious material.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
Limited edition of 30. Recycled 18k yellow gold with gold leaf and responsibly sourced brown diamonds and yellow sapphires in pavé settings. Designed and handcrafted in Bali; stones set in Bangkok. Approx. 1.1 x 0.8cm.
