This 18K Pavé Button Ring by Carina Hardy captures an intimate figurative moment within a generously scaled circular composition. Inspired by Klimt’s The Kiss, two figures appear to merge in an embrace framed by warm brown diamonds, yellow sapphires and gold leaf. The substantial button-like face allows the scene to read almost as a miniature artwork, while the tonal gemstones give it a deep, antique glow. Symbolically, it speaks to surrender, passion and two individuals becoming one without relying on a conventional heart motif. Limited to twenty pieces, it is designed and handcrafted in Bali with stones set in Bangkok.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
