This Aquarius Pendant by Carina Hardy interprets the water bearer as a complete sculptural gesture rather than a simple astrological icon. Delicately modelled hands pour water from a rounded vessel into a basin, with the fingers, flowing water and splashes rendered in recycled 18K gold against the sterling silver ground. Several elements break beyond the circular border, giving the scene movement and depth while referencing the ancient act of collecting and sharing water. The imagery reflects Aquarius associations with knowledge, independence and progressive thinking, yet retains a timeless human quality. On the reverse, the constellation appears as tactile dots connected by etched lines, completing the dialogue between earthly ritual and celestial identity.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
