This 18K Allusion Ring by Carina Hardy deliberately looks unfinished, capturing the beauty of a structure caught between construction and completion. Honeycomb-like layers rise and recede across recycled gold, shifting between raw and highly polished surfaces. Some openings remain empty, allowing light to travel through the ring, while others hold yellow sapphires and brown diamonds at varying depths. The interplay of shadow, reflection and negative space makes the substantial cocktail-scale design surprisingly permeable. Created as a unique edition of one, it celebrates process rather than perfection, turning evidence of making into the finished aesthetic itself.
Carina Hardy has lived between Bali and New York City her entire life. Growing up in a family of jewelers, she was encouraged to push creative limits and trust hand craftsmanship. A designer and artist, Carina roots her practice in reverence for the strength and softness of women. Carina has worked in many mediums, including plaster, inflatables, ice and metal. Together with her lover Tavish, they established Carina Hardy in 2024.
