This Andean Eyes set of three beaded bracelets by Peruvian artisan Ubaldina Paucar Achancaray is inspired by the jewelry the Incas wore during ceremonies. The alluring set features a mixture of hematite, handmade ceramic beads, and glossy blue acrylic beads. The stretch bracelets are designed to be worn on their own or all together, offering versatility and a nod to ancient artistry.
Ubaldina Paucar Achancaray, known as Dina, was born in Cusco in 1953, in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Inca. Surrounded by the cultural richness of her homeland, she discovered her love of craft in school, later studying fine arts and ceramics in Pisac. What began as a personal passion became a family legacy when she and her husband, once an automotive mechanic, turned to ceramics and jewelry-making together. With patience and dedication, they built a workshop where their children also learned the art, blending Inca-inspired heritage with contemporary design. Though Dina faced the loss of her husband, the family continues to honor his memory and their shared craft. Today, their jewelry and decorative ceramics reflect resilience, unity, and a commitment to carrying forward Peru’s ancestral artistry with love.
Handcrafted from hematite, ceramic, and acrylic beads, this set of three stretch bracelets each measures 7 inches inner circumference. The color and variegation of the stones may vary.
