This Handmade Coconut Shell Pendant Necklace with Macrame by Sasithon Saisuk is an original and earthy accessory. The pendant is a hand-carved, star-like coconut shell flower, which hangs from a brown leather cord. Dark brown macrame adorns the cord, and a coconut shell button secures the necklace. This piece is a proud and beautiful tribute to Thai craftsmanship.
Sasithon Saisuk, known as Eaw, was born in 1968 in northern Thailand and has long been inspired by the region’s rich artistic heritage. Initially working in journalism, she later returned to her hometown, where she studied traditional Thai dance and music before discovering her passion for jewelry. Drawing on local silverwork traditions, Eaw creates pieces that blend cultural motifs with modern style, carefully sculpting beads, charms, and pendants by hand. She has also embraced natural materials such as coconut, expanding her craft into jewelry, belts, and handbags. Each design begins with her selection of materials and culminates in a piece that expresses both her creativity and regional identity. Eaw takes pride in crafting jewelry that is deeply personal, combining art, tradition, and innovation. Her work honors the beauty of northern Thai culture while offering designs that resonate with contemporary wearers.
Handcrafted from coconut shell, leather, and waxed polyester cord, this necklace measures 17 inches L and 0.6 inches W. The pendant measures 3 inches L x 3 inches W and fastens with a button clasp. Variations in color, size, and motif are to be expected.
