Rosa Tomatis was born in Lima in 1948 and has dedicated her life to art in its many forms. Trained at the Universidad Católica and in specialized workshops, her foundation in design has shaped a practice that moves between painting, leatherwork, and jewelry. As a painter, her work leans toward surrealism and playful abstraction, often expressing a desire to turn sadness into joy, a sensibility rooted in her childhood love of colorful stories. Rosa’s creative journey was also influenced by her father’s work with tanners, which introduced her to the textures of leather, and today she designs handbags alongside her brother Rodolfo Tomatis. In jewelry, she is drawn to combining silver with natural elements, alternating between rustic and polished finishes. Her paintings, leatherwork, and jewelry have been exhibited in Peru, the United States, Germany, and Italy, and her work continues to be collected by admirers around the world.

Handcrafted from 925 sterling silver and tourmaline, these post earrings measure 0.4 inches L x 0.3 inches W. They have a brushed-satin finish. Variations in color and/or pattern are to be expected.
