Heart-Shaped Garnet and Horn Dangle Earrings from Bali 'Dark Passion'

Made Wardika, born and raised in Tampaksiring, Bali, comes from a humble family surrounded by farmland and village traditions. He began working at age eleven to help pay for his schooling, first as a woodcarver before moving on to painting, horn and bone carving, and eventually jewelry design. Inspired by Bali’s rich culture, Wardika creates rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces using traditional tools and materials such as horn, bone, beads, and wood. His wife and family members collaborate in the workshop, ensuring each piece reflects both artistry and tradition. Since joining Novica in 2015, Wardika has been able to achieve economic stability for his family, provide education for his three children, and even begin saving for a family car and a larger workshop. He now employs others in his community, emphasizing that his success is shared with his team, and contributes to his local temple. For him, jewelry is not just craft but a means of dignity, stability, and shared prosperity.

Handcrafted from 925 sterling silver, garnet, and buffalo horn with a combination finish, these earrings measure 1.7 inches L x 0.7 inches W x 0.2 inches D and feature hook closures.
