Made Tinon, born in Denpasar in 1998, grew up in Celuk Village, Bali’s renowned “Silver Village,” where generations of artisans have shaped one of the island’s most enduring traditions. Raised by parents who were both silversmiths, he absorbed the values of perseverance, artistry, and heritage from an early age. By nine, he was already showing a keen interest in silverwork, later refining his skills under his parents’ guidance and working in the family’s gallery. Today, Tinon designs and crafts jewelry that blends Balinese culture, Hindu symbolism, and contemporary innovation, using 92.5 sterling silver and eco-conscious techniques. Supported by his family and a small team of craftsmen, he sees silver not only as a livelihood but as a way of preserving heritage and sustaining community. His work honors tradition while reflecting his dedication, creativity, and youthful determination to carry Balinese silversmithing into the future.
