Made Darmada, born in Bali in 1973, carries forward the island’s centuries-old silversmithing tradition. Inspired by the values of honesty and perseverance instilled by his parents, he began learning jewelry-making at a specialized school and further refined his skills under senior artisans. Despite early struggles and limited resources, he established his own workshop, where he continues to create original designs. Each piece begins with his sketches and samples, then is brought to life with the help of his team using traditional tools and methods. His jewelry balances heritage techniques with personal creativity, embodying resilience and devotion. Now married with two children, Made dreams of passing on both his workshop and his values to the next generation, ensuring that Bali’s silversmithing artistry endures.
Handcrafted from 925 sterling silver and amethyst with a combination finish, these earrings measure 0.3 inches H x 0.7 inches in diameter and feature post closures.
