This Wire Pattern Garnet Solitaire Ring from Bali 'Captured Gem' by Independent Artisans is a fabulous and unique piece that honors Bali’s heritage. Designed by I Gede Putra Adi, who manages his family's art shop and creates contemporary jewelry, this solitaire ring features a single gemstone of faceted garnet captured between rope and wire patterns in high-polish sterling silver. The design is a slender band that honors the rich legacy of Celuk silver and a dedication to quality and artistry.
Born in 1992 in Celuk, Bali’s renowned silversmithing village, I Gede Putra Adi grew up surrounded by the rhythms of silverwork. The son of a silversmith, he initially pursued business administration before returning to his heritage, determined to preserve Celuk’s legacy. Today, he manages his family’s art shop while designing contemporary jewelry that blends traditional motifs such as jawan with modern styles. Assisted by a small team of artisans, he transforms ideas into handcrafted pieces that honor Bali’s culture while meeting global tastes. Silver remains his primary medium, complemented by gemstones and pearls sourced locally. For Adi, each design is a bridge between past and present, sustaining his community’s craft in an era of change. Through his work, he hopes to ensure Celuk silver remains a celebrated art form for generations to come.
Handcrafted from 925 sterling silver and garnet with a combination finish, this ring has a 3mm band width and a ring face measuring 0.4 inches L x 0.8 inches W x 0.2 inches H.
