These 'My Paradise' earrings by Roy Nilson are a majestic accessory. Mexico's splendor forms a heavenly scene inspired by traditions and customs. Artisan Roy Nilson works with sterling silver and the classic Taxco silversmith to create these majestic chandelier earrings featuring bird, floral and horse motifs that form a unique celestial scene, which also adds a glimpse of Mexico's elegance to your ensembles. This piece is a beautiful reflection of Roy's dedication to creating jewelry that is a form of art.
Born in 1962 in Río Cuarto, Argentina, this designer was raised in a family that valued art in all its forms. Though his early studies were not artistic, he trained as a stage actor and later pursued acting seriously in his 40s. After moving to Mexico, he turned to jewelry design, discovering a new medium for expression. His first creation, a silver ring, remains a treasured family heirloom. Since 2003, he has dedicated himself fully to jewelry, working alongside artisans who handcraft each piece using traditional methods. His designs are simple, original, and deeply inspired by life and the people around him. Family remains central to his practice, with relatives actively involved in his creative journey. For him, jewelry is not just adornment but a form of art, as essential and fulfilling as theater, cinema, and literature in celebrating the beauty of life.
Handcrafted in Mexico from 925 sterling silver, these chandelier earrings measure 3.7 inches in length and 1.6 inches in width. They have a high-polish finish.
