This 'Kraton Shield' necklace by Arta Pradana is a classic accessory. Characterized by traditional Balinese details of roping and jawan, this generously sized sterling silver pendant necklace is called 'Kraton Shield' and is inspired by the royal palaces of Indonesia. Arta Pradana uses a combination of high polish and oxidization to emphasize the design of the pendant, which hangs from an equally beautiful naga chain. This piece is a beautiful reflection of Arta's dedication to crafting silver jewelry that reflects both tradition and innovation.
I Ketut Arta Pradana Putra, born in Celuk, Bali, grew up in a village renowned for silver artistry. The youngest of four children, he inherited a love of silversmithing from his father, who exhibited internationally, and was guided by his mother’s lessons in integrity and craftsmanship. After balancing university with silverwork, Ketut chose to dedicate himself fully to the family tradition, modernizing its reach through exhibitions, social media, and online platforms. His jewelry draws on Bali’s rich cultural identity while adapting to contemporary tastes, blending heritage techniques with fresh designs. What began as a childhood passion has become a career marked by resilience, from door-to-door sales in Europe to collaborations with Novica that elevated the quality of his collections. Today, Ketut leads his workshop with the same dedication he witnessed in his parents, crafting silver jewelry that reflects both tradition and innovation.
Handcrafted in Indonesia from 925 sterling silver, this pendant necklace has a length of 20.8 inches with a 2mm width, and the pendant measures 2.8 inches in length and 2.2 inches in width. It has a combination finish and secures with a lobster claw clasp.
