These 'Mexican Fall' earrings by Oscar Figueroa Escorcia are a beautiful accessory. The sterling silver half hoop earrings acknowledge the beautiful season of falling leaves in the highlands of Mexico. The high-polish finish adds a touch of elegance to the design, and the piece is a beautiful reflection of Oscar's dedication to the art of silver jewelry and his pride in Mexico's silversmithing traditions.
Born in Taxco, Guerrero in 1964, this designer has dedicated more than 30 years to the art of silver jewelry, carrying forward the traditions that define his hometown as Mexico’s silversmithing capital. Inspired by the cultural richness of pre-Hispanic heritage, he began creating his own designs at the age of 19 and gradually built collections that have been exhibited across the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia. His process combines precision and artistry, from melting and alloying silver to hand-polishing each piece to a mirror finish. Guided by respect for culture, values, and the environment, he sees jewelry as both identity and innovation, a way to honor tradition while responding to the constant changes of fashion. His work has earned several awards, including first place at the Palace of Fine Arts, and he continues to create jewelry that expresses pride in Mexico and the timeless beauty of silver.
Handcrafted in Mexico from sterling silver, these half hoop earrings measure 0.8 inches in length and 0.4 inches in width. They have a high-polish finish and secure with posts.
