Pablo, born in San Cristóbal Totonicapán, Guatemala, discovered his passion for jade while working in procurement for a jewelry company. Later, under the guidance of a friend, he learned the art of jade carving and created his first piece, a replica of a Maya mask from Tikal. The experience inspired him to establish his own workshop in 2000, where he has since crafted jewelry rooted in heritage and tradition. He selects raw jade directly from miners, cutting, polishing, and shaping it into luminous designs that honor the stone’s ancient significance. Each creation reflects his meticulous skill and respect for Maya culture, blending historical inspiration with contemporary artistry. Dedicated to growing his workshop, Pablo dreams of employing more artisans in his community. His jewelry celebrates both Guatemala’s natural treasures and the timeless artistry of jade.
