Born in San José, Costa Rica in 1948, Miriam Bruten discovered her passion for jewelry more than two decades ago, inspired by her husband, a glass artist. What began with curiosity during a craft fair soon became a lifelong vocation, nurtured through international workshops and self-driven experimentation. Her first piece, created for her son’s wedding, remains one of her most cherished designs. Miriam works primarily with 925 silver, gold-filled silver, pearls, and natural semi-precious stones such as onyx, malachite, turquoise, lapis lazuli, and agate.
