Born in northern Thailand in 1949, Danai Leosawathiphong trained as an engineer at Leeds University before returning home with his wife, Ilkay, a polymer scientist. Together they transformed scientific experimentation into artistry, pioneering a process of electro-forming natural flowers and plants into lasting works of jewelry. What began with late-night trials in makeshift laboratories became a celebrated workshop where the delicate beauty of orchids, leaves, and blossoms is preserved in copper and finished in precious metals. From the outset, Danai prioritized environmental responsibility and social impact, recycling materials and offering meaningful employment opportunities, particularly for women in his community. Today, his creations are admired worldwide for capturing the ephemeral grace of nature in wearable form. Each piece reflects his belief that flowers never go out of fashion, offering jewelry that blends science, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty while preserving the fragile details of the natural world.

Handcrafted from resin-coated orchid petals, eco-friendly elephant dung fiber paper, and 925 sterling silver, this necklace features a high-polish finish, a cable chain with a lobster claw clasp, and an adjustable 2.2-inch extender. The necklace is 18.8 inches in length and the pendant measures 3.9 inches in length by 1.1 inches in width.
