At 16, she pursued formal training at Sekolah Menengah Industri Kerajinan (SMIK) in Gianyar, where she studied crafts including batik and ceramics before apprenticing with a silversmith. Jewelry soon became her chosen medium of expression. Today, she collaborates with local artisans to create sterling silver jewelry that honors Bali’s cultural beauty while incorporating both traditional and modern designs. Each piece reflects her heritage as well as her creativity, offering wearers a connection to Bali’s artistry. Nyoman sees her craft not only as design but as a way of sharing her culture with the world and uplifting her artisan community.
