This Reconstituted Turquoise Pendant Necklace of Shivas Trishul 'Shivas Trishul' by Independent Artisans is a unique pendant necklace that honors a significant Hindu symbol. Indian artisan Neetu Barathi has designed an exceptional version of the Trishul, or Shiva's trident, with reconstituted turquoise gemstones set in sterling silver. The unique design and rolo chain make this an eye-catching accessory for both women and men, blending tradition and modernity.
Born in Gujarat in 1984, this designer was enchanted by the intricate silver jewelry of her childhood and set out to master the craft herself. With determination and formal training, she transformed her passion into a profession, working alongside her brother to build a thriving workshop. While she focuses on design, her brother oversees production, supported by skilled artisans who bring her ideas to life. Her jewelry blends tradition and modernity, using sterling silver and colorful gemstones to create fresh, expressive styles. Each piece begins as raw silver and evolves into wearable art, reflecting her creativity and discipline. She draws inspiration from family, friends, and the community, using her success to generate local employment. For her, jewelry-making is not only a personal dream but also a way to give back, with the hope of reaching ever greater heights in her career.
Handcrafted from .925 sterling silver and reconstituted turquoise with a rolo chain, this necklace measures 17.5 inches min L to 19.5 inches max L with a 1.2-inch L x 0.4-inch W x 0.2-inch D pendant. It has a combination finish and a lobster claw clasp.
