Polished and Oxidized Sterling Silver Spring Link Necklace 'Wild Petals' This 'Wild Petals' link necklace by Mexican master artisan Francisco Sanchez takes inspiration from the region's spring landscapes. The sterling silver design transforms them into a refined accessory that showcases a combination of polished and oxidized finishes. The piece honors tradition while embracing contemporary style.
Francisco Sánchez, known artistically as Citlali, meaning “Star” in Náhuatl, is a celebrated Mexican jeweler whose career spans more than five decades. The second generation of a family of jewelers, he founded his workshop in 1968 and continues to design each piece himself. His studies in architecture, painting, and sculpture inform his bold, culturally inspired jewelry, often drawing from pre-Hispanic codices and Mexican folklore. Using silver with Italian alloys and specialized techniques, he creates designs that honor tradition while embracing contemporary style. Over the years, Francisco has exhibited internationally in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and received recognition including the Jalisco Award in Jewelry Design in 2000. Today, his workshop is also home to the third generation, as his daughters have joined the craft. Each signed piece carries the symbolism of a “star,” offering wearers a luminous connection to Mexico’s cultural and artistic heritage.
Handcrafted in Mexico from 925 sterling silver with a combination finish. The necklace measures 17.8 inches in inner circumference and is secured with an S-hook or hook clasp.
