Born in Kolkata in 1960, Neeru Goel grew up captivated by jewelry and gemstones, inspired by her grandmother’s discerning eye for craftsmanship. Fascinated by the nomadic women adorned in bold ornaments, she developed an early appreciation for jewelry’s artistry and detail. Though she married young and devoted much of her life to her family, Neeru eventually transformed her lifelong passion into a career. Working with silver, gemstones, and traditional Meenakari enamel, she creates jewelry and sculptures that blend heritage with refinement. For Neeru, design is more than adornment—it is a way of keeping alive India’s artistry while sharing it with the world. Proud to see her work admired beyond her home country, she continues to experiment with new forms and techniques.
