Balinese artisan Astiti Pratiwi grew up in Celuk Village, renowned for its silver crafts. The eldest of two children, she was inspired by her parents, both silversmiths since the 1990s, and began assisting in design and production from a young age. Determined to master the craft, she embraced obstacles as opportunities to learn, guided by the belief that failure only comes when one stops trying. Her jewelry often draws inspiration from plants and Balinese traditions, resulting in designs that are simple, wearable, and steeped in heritage. Combining time-honored techniques with her own creativity, she works with family members to preserve generational knowledge while ensuring its relevance for the future. For Astiti, jewelry is not only a profession but also a cultural responsibility, a way to honor Bali’s artistry while reaching global audiences.
Handcrafted in Indonesia with .925 sterling silver and blue topaz. The earrings are 0.3 inches in length and 0.9 inches in width. They have a combination finish. Color variations are to be expected.
