Born in Barahona, the “Pearl of the South” in the Dominican Republic, Carolina Quiroa grew up surrounded by artisans who worked with larimar and amber, the gemstones native to her homeland. Entrepreneurial from a young age, she carried that spirit with her when she migrated to the United States at 15. There she met her husband, whose Guatemalan heritage introduced her to jade, sparking a lasting fascination that paired naturally with her love for larimar. Together, these stones represent her family’s roots and have become the foundation of her jewelry. Carolina designs pieces that celebrate unity, love, strength, and happiness, blending the vibrancy of the Caribbean with the heritage of Central America. Handcrafted in Guatemala with .925 sterling silver and jade. Each earring measures 1.2 inches in length and 0.4 inches in width. It has a high-polish finish. Natural variations in color and/or pattern are to be expected.
